On Jul 13th, the Tampa Chapter met for a NOAA Hurricane Hunter Tour. LCDR Harris Halverson (USNA '90), took the group through the mission of NOAA, the IMAX film, and the hunter lanes themselves!
They were also VERY honored to have the DCINC, USCENTCOM, LtGen Michael DeLong (USNA '67) speak on Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and the Navy and USMC contribution.
The day ended with lunch at Mad Dog's Restaurant, owned by Rick Craig (USNA '77).

On August 8, 2002, the Tampa Bay Chapter hosted a tour/dinner at the USAA Tampa headquarters. BGen Thomas Draude, USMC (Ret.), USNA '62, VP of the Southeast region was the guest speaker for the evening. The focus of the evening's discussion was to show off USAA's facility to long term members of USAA, as well as talk about the changes at USAA in the past few years, and how USAA has continued to stay strong.
